Jasper Hill Farm and Cellars employs around 80 people to staff two dairies, two creameries, a hay drying facility, our aging caves, and our new retail outpost in the Boston Public Market. Roles range from herdsmen and nutrient managers to vault captains and cheesemakers. Below are profiles of our long term staff members.

Milkman, Cheesemaker Assistant
Fueled by 17 hours of sleep each week, Russell's unique schedule as Jasper Hill's milkman is fairly normal in his 3-generational family of milkmen. Russell has 3 daughters and 37 pets. When not making cheese or delivering milk, he loves to fish, hunt, and boat.
Favorite Cheese: Alpha Tolman
The manager of the Jasper Hill Farm Creamery, Nat is a lover of cows on grass and milk chemistry. 6'1" with a peach fuzz beard, Nat is passionate about his wife and kids. When not at work, Nat can be found trying to get his 6-year-old to stack firewood.
Favorite Cheese: Challerhocker
Andy is Jasper Hill's Fire Chief, Head Plate Spinner, and Money Bags. Constantly looking for ways to improve the places around him, Andy avoids catastrophe as best as he can. He is passionate about music, community, his family, public service, and agriculture.
Favorite Cheese: Comté
NATE VAN GULDEN
Milker, Milk Quality Specialist
As our morning milker, Nate has been working with cows and milk for a while. Passionate about both dairy farming and his family, Nate is also excited by anything having to do with canoeing. When not working, he can be found with his kids.
Favorite Cheese: Cabot Cheddar
Sales, Marketing, Education
Creator of this website and owner of a complete set of decorative plates featuring jungle cats in space, Zoe loves lounging with kittens, learning about food, educating about cheese, skiing, frisbee golfing, and getting excited for our pastured pork program.
Favorite Cheese: Some obscure, Portuguese, thistle-renneted, stinky goo bomb
Bloomy Rind Specialist
Brian oversees the aging of the bloomy rind cheeses. However, when not doing this, Brian can be found doing yard work. Known by few, he is both a monopoly rule-wonk and political junkie. In the future, Brian plans to relax and enjoy his remaining trip through cosmos.
Favorite Cheese: Whatever is in front of me
The owner of two pet bonsai trees, a lover of charcuterie and a disapprover of milk on cereal, After working in the Cellars and Creamery, Evan is now developing recipes for cured pork products. Originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin, Evan hopes to both work on VT99 pork and travel to South East Asia next.
Favorite Cheese: Moses Sleeper
Everyday Reggie brings good spirits and drive to the Jasper Hill Farm Creamery, making cheese, cleaning, and doing administrative work. Passionate about his family and the outdoors, Reggie hopes to increase his home brewing knowledge next.
Favorite Cheese: All of it
With a "just right" height and a three day old beard, Scott works in the FVC, making cheese, cleaning equipment, and managing operations. When not at work or pursuing his passion for naps, Scott can be found hiking, biking, swimming, struggling at ping pong, or reading.
Favorite Cheese: Wilde Weide Gouda
Washed Rind Specialist
At the Cellars, Stuart works with our washed rind cheeses and assists our shipping team to help get cheese out to market. Since 2013, he has added to the Cellars team not only with care for his salt-brine washed babies, but also with humor. Outside of work, Stuart is passionate about deer hunting and fishing.

Education & Events Coordinator
A Long-Island native, Jen has spent almost two decades in Vermont and shows no sign of giving up anytime soon. One of the inaugural Cellars employees, she has worn every hat here including bookkeeping, sales, food safety, and education. Her handsome dog Ollie is prone to skunking, quilling, and other mountain-life hazards.
Favorite Cheese: Harbison
A self-decided 69.5" tall with clean stubble, Tim makes cheese in the Jasper Hill Farm Creamery. When not at work, Tim can be found on the ball field or cooking. He is passionate about his family and enjoys spending time with his four children and his dog.
Favorite Cheese: Cheddar
A lover of ping pong and spinning wool, Nancy is Jasper Hill's gardener. Scooting around, raising plants such as tomatoes, basil, limes and pineapple, Nancy grew up moving all over the country. With seven kids and a love of travel, she now travels to spend time with her family.
Favorite Cheese: Parmesan
Director of Shipping and Receiving
Manager of packing and shipping, Tim watches everything that enters or exits the Cellars. At work, he can often be found listening to country, or today's pop hits. When not working, he can be found at home with his family, coaching basketball, or sleeping.
Favorite Cheese: Winnimere
At the Cellars, Annie works wrapping and boxing cheese. Since 2010, she has commuted every Friday to Jasper Hill from her home at Heartbeet Lifesharing in Hardwick, Vermont. When not at work, Annie can be found knitting, singing, needle felting, dancing or writing.
Favorite Cheese: Moses Sleeper/Harbison
With a passion for fungi, Mateo works throughout the company, making and tasting cheese, solving problems, and making sure that we are staying true to our mission. When not at work, he can be found at the lake, spending time with his wife and two kids.
Favorite Cheese: Colston Basset Stilton
At the Cellars, Evan oversees the aging of our Alpine cheese collection. Before settling at the Cellars, Evan worked both at the Cabot warehouse and the Jasper Hill Creamery. When not at work, he can be found at home with his pet Inu, bulking up, or playing Magic.
Favorite Cheese: Constant Bliss
Project Manager, Farm Operator
A retired long-haired-hippy, James has worked at Jasper Hill as our architect, maintenance man, and construction manager since 2010. He now lives on and operates Andersonville Farm with his wife, two children, and a passion for dirt, concrete, steel, lumber, and glass.
Favorite Cheese: Cabot's Everything Bagel Cheddar
At the Food Venture Center Creamery, Billy makes and turns Alpha Tolman. This means, that while his two cats wait for him at home, he gets a free milk bath everyday. A lover of turtles and Risk, Billy can be found mountain biking when not at work.
Favorite Cheese: Mozzarella
Cheese Care Specialist
A former chef, Arthur's lunches routinely fill our break room with intoxicating aromas. Arthur works in our washed-rind cheese vault, caring for Oma, Willoughby, Winnimere, as well as young Alpha Tolman. Arthur is a member of our food safety team, and is an all-around stand-up guy.
Favorite Cheese: He's not telling.
Bookkeeper, Payroll Manager
As Jasper Hill's bookkeeper and payroll manager, Kathy supports the entire business. Easy to get along with, she is always willing to lend a hand when it is needed. When not at work, Kathy can be found at the stock car races, camping, knitting, or enjoying her home.
Favorite Cheese: Moses Sleeper
At Jasper Hill Farm, Adam "Wizzer" Whitney works as a milker, lending a hand around the farm. When not striving to produce high quality milk for high quality cheese, Adam can be found playing summer league basketball, softball, or with his friends.
Favorite Cheese: Bayley Hazen Blue
At Jasper Hill's Andersonville Farm, Ethan Atwood does a little bit of everything. Having worked at Andersonville Farm since before it sold milk to Jasper Hill, Ethan has a strong sense of place and understanding of the practice.
