Jasper Hill Anniversary Party

Birthday Bonfire 2018.jpg

A party like this only comes once a decade...

Our team is pulling out all the stops to create a full day of engagement for you: the people who helped us make it this far.

IT all kicks off with a science fair

Saturday, August 11th, 9am - 3pm at Greensboro's own Highland Center for the Arts

Dr. Paul Kindstedt joins us to give "a presentation that combines fascinating geeky science about crystals and their amazing collateral effects on cheese sensory characteristics with a tour of the mind-blowing potential that cheese crystallization phenomena have to inform some of the biggest questions and challenges that face humanity."

Several other seminars will cover topics ranging from rural development to ruminant nutrition, connected by the thread of raw milk quality and safety.

In addition to educational seminars, each department within the Jasper Hill Family of businesses has been challenged to create the best science fair 'exhibit' of their work. These tactile examples of different aspects of production will be on display during a long seminar lunch break, giving the team an opportunity to share their expertise in a hands-on way. The winners, by popular vote, will have the honor of lighting the celebration bonfire. We're also pleased to welcome former DZTA Winners to present exhibits of their research.

 A locavore lunch is included.

The Science Fair is a ticketed event through the Highland Center for the Arts

The celebration

Join us in the pastures of Jasper Hill Farm for an epic feast of roasted local animals and vegetables.  If you aren't able to make the Science Fair, staff exhibits will be relocated along a self-guided farm tour from 4 - 5.30. Stick around for music from Kick 'em Jenny, an Ayrshire pasture parade, a bonfire that shall be visible from space, and a late-night Taco Party with DJ Taka. The Celebration is open to our invited friends, family, and Science Fair attendees in appreciation of 15 years of partnership and support.

We invite attendees to share photos from the last 15 years (or before!) for a memory wall. Please send images to:

Snatch up rentals on Airbnb and VRBO as soon as you can; expand your search to Hardwick and Craftsbury for best results. We do have some rooms at the Highland Lodge set aside. Reach out to your contact at Jasper Hill if you think you'll need one and we'll do our best for you.

The VT Cheesemaker's Festival is the day after our celebration. Tickets sell out each year, so make arrangements through the link above in advance.

We'll continue to update this page with more details as they develop. Check back soon or drop us a line with questions in the meantime to
