Working Visitor Application
If you are a cheese professional looking to gain insight into the production side of the cheese industry, you may be able to join us for a working visit here in Vermont. Typically, we can accommodate working visitors Monday-Friday. 2 days is the minimum required for a working visit, and your stay could include time in the creamery, vaults, and barn. Days will begin anywhere from 3-7am, and go until 1-4pm, depending on the facility you are scheduled in. Cheese production work requires you to be on your feet, and be comfortable working in a variety of conditions, with temperatures as high as 90 degrees and as low as 45 degrees. You may be asked to lift up to 50 lbs, and/or lift less weight with repetition. You will need to arrange your own transportation to and from the farm. We will provide lodging and some meals.
